How to Connect Your ChatGPT Subscription to Ekuri
What You Need
- An active Ekuri BYOK VPS (deploy one from your dashboard)
- An active ChatGPT Plus or ChatGPT Pro subscription from OpenAI
With the BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) tier, you use your own ChatGPT subscription instead of Ekuri credits. This guide shows you how to connect it in under a minute.
Step 1 — Sign In with OpenAI
- Open your Ekuri dashboard
- Find the OpenAI Codex section under API Keys
- Click Sign in with ChatGPT
- Log in with your OpenAI account and authorize access
The gateway will restart automatically. After a few seconds, you can start chatting with GPT models through your Ekuri assistant.
Step 2 — Select a Codex Model
After connecting, choose your preferred model from the model selector in the dashboard:
- GPT-5.3 Codex — best capability for complex tasks (recommended)
- GPT-5 Codex Mini — faster responses for simpler tasks
How It Works
Ekuri connects directly to OpenAI using your ChatGPT subscription via OAuth. Your requests go through your own Ekuri VPS — no middleman, no credit system. You get the full power of your ChatGPT subscription with Ekuri's agent capabilities (web browsing, file management, code execution, Telegram/Discord/Slack integration).
Troubleshooting
OAuth popup not appearing? Make sure pop-ups are allowed for ekuri.ai in your browser settings.
Models not showing up? After signing in, wait 10-15 seconds for the gateway to restart. Refresh the dashboard if models don't appear.
Want to switch to a different OpenAI account? Disconnect OpenAI Codex from the dashboard, then reconnect with the other account.
